Asst. Prof. Dario Rahelic, MD, PhD, FACE, FRCP Edin
Assistant professor Dario Rahelic is a specialist of internal medicine, endocrinologist and diabetologist. He is the Head of Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Clinical Pharmacology at Dubrava University Hospital, Zagreb, Croatia. He is a president of Croatian Society for Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders of Croatian Medical Association, secretary of International Diabetes Federation Europe (IDF Europe) and chair of IDF Young Leaders in Diabetes Programme. Also he serves as Board member of IDF Europe, Executive committee member of Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease Study Group of EASD, Croatian Endocrine Society, Croatian Society for Obesity and Croatian Society for Endocrine Oncology. Prof. Rahelic published several chapters in croatian and international books. He was invited speaker at many croatian and international conferences. He participates in teaching of students at Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology and Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry. He was visiting scientist at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Canada, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, USA and Motol Clinic, Prague, Czech Republic. Prof. Rahelic is a Fellow of American College of Endocrinology (FACE) and Fellow of Royal College of Physicians of Edinburg (FRCP Edin). He received Young Investigator’s award by Diabetes and Nutrition Study Group of EASD, Etzwiller Rising Star Award and Croatian Endocrine Society award.
